YOUTH VIDEO FESTIVAL

TRUTH AND LIES: CONVERSATIONS ON ADDICTION PREVENTION, TREATMENT AND RECOVERY.

Express your opinions and viewpoint on what it takes to prevent, treat and recover from drug and alcohol addiction. Change the way young and old view -- and treat-- people with alcohol and drug problems.

ENTRY CATEGORIES: (1) TREATMENT and RECOVERY (2) PREVENTION Note: Videos must be submitted within 1 of these 2 categories, or submit both!

CASH PRIZES FOR WINNERS OF EACH CATEGORY!!
Final winners to be selected by jury of judges from Nonprofit arts organizations.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
Get your friends, teachers and schools involved. Become a member of EYESPOT and then upload files and create your video. As long as you have access to a computer you can upload your photos, music, video clips, share video clips and even upload video from your cell phone! You will be also be able to vote and share ideas and clips with other members.

HOW YOU SUBMIT YOUR VIDEOS TO THE FESTIVAL:
If you don’t know about EYESPOT, you will now. EYESPOT allows you to edit photos and videos directly online without the need for any additional software. Just like YOUTUBE and MYSPACE you become a member and then upload files and create your video. As long as you have access to a computer you can upload your photos, music, video clips, share video clips and even upload video from your cell phone! On the EYESPOT Youth Video Festival Page you will be also be able to vote and share ideas with other members.

WHAT YOU CAN SUBMIT: Create 30 sec to 3 minute video. Students can submit work in the following categories. Please remember that the content/topic of the video will be more important in in the judging than the formats that you use to express yourself.

FORMATS YOU CAN CREATE YOUR VIDEO IN: Animation * Documentary * Dramatic Narrative * News Feature* Commercial * Music Video * Art Film* PSA

Final judging and winner's screening to take place at the 7th National and Annual, Center for the Arts Conference to be held on the campus of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

September 15, 2007
