Addiction Recovery advocates from across the country participated in a National Public Awareness print and television broadcast campaign titled “Recovery Happens Every Day-We’re Living Proof of It.” The campaign uses voices of different ages and backgrounds to dispel the stereotype that addiction only affects the poor living in inner cities. The campaign was also developed to deliver a message that people can, and do recover from addiction.
